Agile Project Failures and
How to Avoid them
1-day workshop
Objective: Prepare Agile managers and their teams to recognise failures before they occur and take corrective action.
Agile software development is a significant improvement over traditional development techniques but it is, by itself, no guarantee of success. Looking at past Agile failures allows us to deal with current problems.
This workshop uses lecture, case studies and discussions to diagnose failures and suggest remedies. Attendees will learn how to avoid failures and how to correct when things go wrong.
Pre-requisites: Attendees are expected to have knowledge of Agile software development in advance of this course.
Who should attend?
Those responsible for improving software development effectiveness:- Managers responsible for Agile projects and their customers.
- Developers working on
Agile projects.
What will I learn?
At the end of this workshop attendees will know:- The risks inherent in Agile software development.
- The frequently occurring Agile failure modes.
- Why Agile is sometimes described as fragile.
- How to diagnose problems and find their root cause.
- How to prevent problems
becoming failures.
Attendees will also benefit from a chance to discuss their own issues and concerns, and receive expert advice and insights.
