Building agility in both software development and marketing teams, successfully introducing OKRS
International payments cooperative SWIFT embarked on an Agile transformation programme following the Spotify model with elements of SAFe. I was engaged as an Agile Coach as part of the coaching team within the compliance tribe.
I lead a UK based delivery squad to retool the delivery pipeline to support continuous delivery and the capability for daily software updates. In this role I worked extensively with product managers and product owners.
My work expanded to advise and coach the tribe Marketing squad in agile too. The marketing team was split between London and SWIFT headquarters in Brussels necessitating regular travel to Belgium.
Critically SWIFT added Objective and Key Results (OKRs) to the techniques being used at an organisational level. I coached and assisted both my own teams through OKR setting and delivery, and additionally took an active role in tribe level OKRs. These OKRs improved communication, focused the team and aligned team and tribe.
