Celebrating 11 years

Agile Nottingham

Lightning talk

Lightning talks from 11 past speakers

Celebrate of 11 years of Agile Nottingham with 11 of the best speakers.

Come and join, Tobias Mayer, Noel Warnell, Start Turner, Susannah Chambers, Leigh White, Nigel Steane, Mike Burrows, Alicia Parkes, Allan Kelly,Tom Hoyland and Sergio Seelochan for a very special 11th Birthday party!
To give everyone chance to hear everyone, the evening will centre on fast-paced lightning talks, creating shared energy and a common thread for everyone in the room. As we go, we’ll collect questions and themes from the audience (stickies or similar), which will then shape a closing conversation, most likely a Goldfish Bowl or Lean-Coffee-inspired discussion, rather than a traditional panel. This keeps things informal, participatory, and ego-light, while still allowing deeper debate on one or two audience-chosen topics. If time and energy allow, we may also break out briefly so people can continue conversations directly with speakers, without creating “experts vs audience” dynamics.

Featureban Live

Experience flow, understand what gets in the way of achieving delivering value, see work-in-progress limits and learn Kanban principles.

This immersive simulation uses a Mike Burrows Featureban flow game to demonstrate the problems getting work to flow, how bottlenecks occur, the power of work-in-progress limits and the principles of Kanban thinking like “stop starting and start finishing.”

In this simulation you will see the work build up and experience changes that reduce bottlenecks, improve flow and see how work completes when work-in-progress falls. By the end you will have take-away actions you can use immediately to improve your team’s flow and delivery performance.
